The history of badminton was made by India after 73 years by winning the Thomas Cup which is the equivalent of the Badminton World Cup. In the final, Team India won the gold medal by defeating the winner of the fourteen-time event. India enters the Thomas Super Cup for the first time and for the first time India defeats fourteen-time world champions Indonesia 0-3. Chirag Shetty, Lakshya Sen, Srikanth Kidambi, satwik sairaj rankireddy- It is a landmark event in the history of India when 3 young men won the gold medal in badminton after a long 73 years.
